Please join the Ventura Film Society for a screening of “Bernard and Huey”. Based on a screenplay by legendary Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jules Feiffer, Bernard and Huey is an award-winning comedy about two old friends who reconnect after 25 years apart, and the women who complicate their lives. Director Dan Mirvish has made the film with an amazing cast that includes David Koechner, Oscar-winner Jim Rash, Sasha Alexander, Eka Darville, Richard Kind, Lauren Miller Rogen, Nancy Travis, Bellamy Young and Mae Whitman. Director Dan Mirvish will join us for the screening.

Pleased to introduce those of you who have been generous supporters of the Ventura Film Society to MIKE MILLER, new Executive Director of the Ventura Film Society. Mike approached me over a year ago about his interest in continue the proud VFS tradition going back to our founding in 2008. I have been supportive of his efforts and those of his team.

This coming Tues. January 8th @ 7pm at the Century 10 Downtown Ventura the VFS will be screening its first film of 2019.

This award-winning comedy is about two old friends who reconnect after 25 years apart, and the women who complicate their lives. The amazing cast includes David Koechner, Oscar-winner Jim Rash, Sasha Alexander, Eka Darville, Richard Kind, Lauren Miller Rogen, Nancy Travis, Bellamy Young and Mae Whitman.

Director Dan Mirvish, co-founder of the Slamdance Film Festival, will be attending.

It’s such a good feeling knowing that something I created 10 years ago is having a rebirth. Thanks in advance for continuing to express your interest in innovative cinema and community engagement by connecting with the VFS again. Mike and his team will be taking us forward with innovative programming and visiting filmmakers, proving what the VFS established from the beginning, that film is the most public of contemporary arts.
